Hi, I'm Charlie — a Licensed Practical Nurse and the creator of Remote Nurse Career Academy™.
My nursing career has given me the opportunity to experience healthcare from a different perspective—one that extends beyond the traditional bedside and into the growing world of remote patient care. Through my experience with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), Chronic Care Management (CCM), care coordination, and technology-enabled healthcare, I've learned that becoming a successful remote nurse requires more than simply being a good nurse.
Remote nursing requires you to take the clinical skills you already have and learn how to apply them differently.
You need to communicate confidently without being in the room with your patient, recognize meaningful changes from a distance, document clearly, manage competing priorities, navigate technology, follow established protocols, collaborate with a virtual healthcare team, and make sure important patient needs don't fall through the cracks.
I created Remote Nurse Career Academy™ because I wanted nurses interested in remote careers to have the practical resources I wish were easier to find when learning this type of work.
The Academy is designed to help LPNs and RNs understand how their existing nursing experience can translate into remote care while strengthening the skills that can help them prepare for interviews, develop remote-care workflows, and transition into a new role with greater confidence.
My goal isn't to teach nurses to memorize the "right" answer.
It's to help them learn how to prepare, think, communicate, organize, and confidently demonstrate the nursing skills they already have.
