Built around the work nurses do remotely

Across the system, learning activities can address patient outreach, documentation, workflow management, clinical prioritization, communication and escalation, and follow-up. Scenario-based practice gives nurses a chance to apply these skills before they encounter similar demands in their day-to-day role. RNCA’s role is to support workforce readiness. Your organization retains responsibility for its clinical policies, supervision, technology training, role-specific onboarding, and employment decisions.
Tier 1: Remote Nurse Foundations
Strengthen the foundation you already have.
For organizations with an established onboarding process, Tier 1 adds focused education on the core expectations of remote nursing. It helps nurses understand how clinical work changes when patient assessment, communication, documentation, and follow-up happen at a distance. This tier can support teams that want a more consistent starting point without adding a full cohort-based readiness program.

Tier 2: Remote Nurse Workforce Readiness
Move from learning concepts to demonstrating skills. Tier 2 is a cohort-based program that combines instruction with practical application and competency assessment. Nurses work through realistic remote-care situations, practice their reasoning and communication, and receive feedback on areas for development. Employers receive readiness results that can inform coaching and next steps. The program can be tailored to relevant workflows, including remote patient monitoring (RPM), chronic care management (CCM), and related remote-care roles.

Tier 3: Remote Nurse Academy Partnership
Build a readiness program you can use across cohorts. Tier 3 is an ongoing partnership for organizations with recurring remote-nurse hiring or training needs. RNCA works with your team to establish a consistent approach to education, practice, assessment, and reporting, then reviews the program as roles and workforce needs change. The goal is to give each cohort a clear learning path while giving leaders useful insight into strengths, development needs, and program outcomes.
